Carol Dance is a Sydney artist who uses bright colours to create surrealistic works that intrigue, amuse and delight. She has become known for her ‘pillar’ series that combine classical figures in a modern interpretation. Carol has been painting since a teenager and began exhibiting seriously in 2002. She had a major exhibition at the Seymour Centre in Sydney in 2003, followed by solo shows around Sydney. She was invited to be the artist-in-residence at the Port Douglas Commercial Gallery of Fine Art in 2004. She has exhibited in Victoria, Queensland and around NSW.
